We made it!

Pennock and Gravina Islands. This is one spot were the famous "Bridge to Nowhere" may one day be built.

Malia likes to flip rocks and look for creepy crawly things. This time she got a little dirt goatee.

"Flying bugs? .... We don't need no stinking flying bugs!"

It was a good day. We brought tons of food and water/gatorade, and took our time. The view from the top is really unbeatable. Deer Mt. is a Ketchikan icon. It has a Hershey's Kiss shape which was formed from all of the glacial activity during the last ice age. Here's a few pics from the bottom.
